About
Shawn Power serves as Northmarq's chief financial officer. In this role, he is responsible for leading the organization’s finance, accounting, treasury, insurance and licensing functions. He previously served as senior vice president/managing director of Finance and Accounting (2019-2023), and vice president of Treasury Management and Financial Reporting (2014-2019).
Before joining Northmarq, Shawn spent eight years in public accounting with RSM, most recently serving as an audit manager. In that role, he was responsible for delivering a wide variety of assurance services to the financial services industry, including mortgage banking, community banking and other specialty financial service companies including those involved in factoring, leasing and asset-based lending.
Shawn joined the Board of Directors for Aeon, a Minnesota-based nonprofit developer, owner and manager of nearly 6,000 affordable homes in the Twin Cities area, in 2023. He earned a Bachelor of Accountancy from North Dakota State University and is a Certified Public Accountant.
